Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
I know this one is a tough loss to take, y'all...those were two NFL-lite defenses going at it last night. Untimely mistakes ultimately doomed Alabama's chances. LSU took advantage of their possessions inside Alabama territory and that was the difference. One that I haven't seen talked about much is ...

Re: Auburn Tigers
First half was uneven, second half was much better...all things considered, 3-2 in October is acceptable. I expected 1-4, 2-3 at best.
UGA is our "lagniappe" game this year, meaning that if we win it, we'll have 8 regular season wins and that would be a nice bonus.

Re: Auburn Tigers
Well, that ass-whipping wasn't entirely surprising...LSU is lots better than us this year and they played like it.

Re: Auburn Tigers
Good luck the rest of the way, Ghost...barring some scheduling quirk next year with A&M coming aboard, we'll see you in Hogtown next year. That was a brutal game to watch...reminded me of 1988 and 1989 when neither team could do squat offensively for most of either one of those games. Our most e...

Re: Auburn Tigers
I have no idea what to expect Saturday...our QB hasn't been setting the world on fire and Florida's QB situation is shaky right now. That said, it's one of those "backs-against-the-wall" games for Florida and they'll be ready for us. Some of the plays that didn't work against better defens...

Re: Auburn Tigers
Well, that was not entirely unexpected.
A worse whipping than that awaits in two weeks in Baton Rouge.
Maybe we can beat a wounded Florida team at home...maybe.

Re: Auburn Tigers
Gotta admit that my expectations for a win were practically non-existent. The October death march won't look quite so bleak now. That's 11 SEC wins in a row, amazingly enough.
Ted Roof got a reprieve after this weekend.

Bon, as an Aggie, here is an article you might find interesting. Comment? http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/6946317/texas-aggies-hit-tipping-point-bolting-sec My comment is that Ivan Maisel needs a telescope to find a clue. By and large the Ags that will be making road trips will be of...

Re: Auburn Tigers
Slumbered through that one Saturday night...gonna be a hell of a long October. Hopefully we'll sneak one out against Ole Miss. South Carolina, LSU, Arkansas and Florida are going to moidalize us.
Aggies are officially SEC-bound. Let the annual inner conflict begin.

Re: Auburn Tigers
Cam has played better than I thought he might...the INTs today weren't good throws, but I've been pleasantly surprised overall. He'd rather be 2-0 with Ben Roethlisberger's numbers than 0-2 with the 850 yards passing.

Getting your asses kicked by (not merely losing to) Vanderbilt is going to start the dead pool for Nutt's tenure in Oxford.

Re: Auburn Tigers
Yeah, that was a pretty disgraceful display of __efense today. 624 yards? Yikes. Worst tackling I've seen in a long time. I didn't have a real good feeling about this game...young team on the road with a target on its back = trouble. October is going to be a bloodbath and we're going to be the donors.

Re: Auburn Tigers
Complaining about wins is better than complaining about a loss. AU 14-0!!!!!!! Damn straight. There will be no 14-0 on the Plains this year, though, unless it's how badly we're losing to Alabama after the first 2:00 of the game. Mike Bellotti was serviceable yesterday, Beth Mowins...geez-o-flip. At...

Re: Auburn Tigers
Well, I see we're picking up where we left off in the white-knuckler category. Easy to go from penthouse to outhouse in the SEC West...gonna take a shit-ton of improvement to get to the 7-5 guess. I wasn't expecting the D-line to look THAT bad. The good news is that the "find a way to win"...

Re: Auburn Tigers
Here's the four arrestees:
Mike McNeil, Antonio Goodwin, Shaun Kitchens and Dakota Mosley
Goodwin, Kitchens and Mosley were all freshmen in the 2010 recruiting class. Mosley redshirted, the other two played some on special teams.
McNeil was a RS senior-to-be, so he was a Tuberville recruit.
