Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Anyway, I wonder how Gee feels about his coach who had to resign in shame after saying this to the media: At a March 8 press conference to announce Tressel's suspension, when asked about Tressel's job security, Gee replied, "I just hope he doesn't dismiss me." Talk about lack of academic i...

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Heh. When OSU goes on probation for cheating, will OSU remove the mention of the coach who resigned in shame (for cheating) from the record books? Has OSU's long history of up-til-now unpunished cheating carry more weight now? Will Clarret's allegations of cheating at OSU, and the article from the a...

Re: Baseball
Giants general manager Brian Sabean criticized Cousins on his weekly radio show on KNBR this week, calling the play malicious and unnecessary. Sabean also said "if I never hear from Cousins again, or he doesn't play another day in the big leagues, I think we'll all be happy." "He cho...

The fact that he fathered a child out of wedlock with the Hooters waitress he had an affair with back in the mid-1990's will only matter to the most self-absorbed, pseudo-moral, militant "Christians". Fortunately, those over-inflated gasbags are too busy bombing abortion clinics and promot...

What exactly are you trying to say? That many Republicans didn't like ANY of the 2008 candidates so they couldn't be bothered to come out in February and nominate anyone else I was one of them. I've been voting straight Republican ticket in every election since 1978. But in 2008 I was so disgusted ...

Two possible replies. Take your pick:
(1) I do not offer personal insults. I am a simple purveyor of truth with my lantern simply searching for an honest man.
or
(2) Don't take yourself or the comments here so seriously, Nancy.

Disagree. That bloc of Republicans would work harder to beat the bushes for votes if they had liked him.We are arguing meaningless semantics. Whether they liked him or didn't like him, mattered not.
He's my Senator and I didn't even vote for him (during the GOP Primary.)
Exactly.

McCain lost because... 1) Many Republicans did not like him before he ran. He was very unpopular and seen as an appeaser for much of his career as a senator. Well this isn't true because the Republicans nominated him over ALL the others.... Did you notice the "did not like him" part? That...
