Re: The Arrogant, Entitltled World Champion Los Angeles Lake

Interesting if Adolf Hitler could be induced to come to LA. Very solid coarch, and If I were him I would be looking for a better shot at a ring than I have now.

Silvia's hot, but not earthshakingly hot. She must have a really nice personality.

The twenty second timeout blogger made some valid points about the detrimental effect of having to limit Kobe's minutes and having him practice away from the team. Chemistry suffers, and unspoken imperative to be as focused as the "ring" leader is undermined.

Human nature being what it is, we'll see a big spike in injuries that the juicing won't be able to hide.

Nothing to see here, folks. Keep it movin'.

Dead on... The law professor and writer Tim Wu grew up in Canada with a white mother and a Taiwanese father, which allows him an interesting perspective on how whites and Asians perceive each other. After graduating from law school, he took a series of clerkships, and he remembers the subtle ways in...

It pains me to agree, but Pau is probably the piece most worth keeping (youth, skill, and overall maturity in spite of the girlfriend issues), assuming a beast like Howard and a dynamic backcourt guy like Chris Paul can be brought in.

McPhee is always good. Drove to Vegas for fam reunion last weekend. On the way back, took the Extraterrestrial Highway through Rachel, NV and got a few souvenirs. (On the way down, got souvenirs for the wife's family at the Mustang Ranch, heh.) Very interesting trip geology-wise. Doing the ET Highwa...

Fuck.

Didn't watch the game. Went to celebrate Mother's Day by watching Thor instead (it was pretty good).

Re: Chuck's Reading Room

Thanks for recreating the thread...the night before WX was imploded I scanned the old thread. Good times. Since the Civil War started 150 years ago I've been on one of my mil-hist benders...really that and music theory/biography/criticism are all I read. Read a really disappointing history of the en...

I was inspired to check her out finally - good singer, good material and very cute. Prince is doing like t...

Re: The Arrogant, Entitltled World Champion Los Angeles Lake

Assuming the Lakers go down to defeat (thanks for the memories Phil...I'm guessing they go down 4-2): Their help and pick and roll defense is bogus. The Triangle has been suffering from decreasing player buy-in for years. That's okay until your Number One and Two shot creators get old and/or have th...

Re: The Spelling-Challenged, Entitlltled Los Angeles Lakers

I'm not sure if talking about trust issues was all that smart (it was Drew, wasn't it?) but Bynum seems to have exerted a leadership role the last few days. On and off the court. Who knew?

Now, if the rest of the guys can feel it...
