Your niece probably does, but it's always packaged so neatly. Taylor Swift dated [fill in name of teen boy bander or famous actor] and they broke up so she wrote a song about him. They don't say she's tossing ass at a Jonas Brother, One Direction member, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhall, or whomever...just that she dated them. I'm saying, after a while, it just starts to look like she's run through the Tonight Show Green Room in a short 3 years.

I'm not a fan either, but I have seen that she's gotten some major props as a songwriter from guys like Neil Young (!!). I don't get it...

Really, Skillz is no joke as far as spitting. I dyed at the lisp he (accurately) threw on Russell and the "go on with your big ass" line at the end. I almost spit on myself.

?uesto sued him for that...but they settled out of court.

Also, listening to that Fugee joint, I sometimes forget how ill Lauryn was on the mic. I often wonder if the craziness was always there, or if Clef (then Marley) caused it. It'll be a mystery for the ages...

I don't get Kayne's stuff. I'm not even completely sure what genre he is repping.

If I've ever heard his stuff on the radio because of my kids I couldn't tell you it was him. I might know the song though.

That's his point, tho. He doesn't want a genre definition. That "Black Skinhead" track is a nod to 90s rock like Marilyn Manson & there is a lot of punk in this one, too (makes sense because Rick Rubin was big in this collaboration). I think its more true to hip hop. The early hip hop, while born in the Bronx, came out of a culture shared with Punk in the lower east side.
