It should be fun to watch Arkansas tiptoe over glass convincing everyone that hiring someone you are sleeping with as a subordinate, continuing the relationship, covering it up, lying about it to both the media and your employer and leaving them to twist in the wind when the truth inevitably came out are all just big misunderstandings. It was sad watching their media cover the press conference clearly worried only about winning football games.

They can't really even say that people deserve second chances as their excuse with the way Nutt was run out of town and Petrinos prior history. Ha, that's probably their best self-soothing argument for keeping him..."hey now, we kinda already knew this guy was a merc scumbag when we hired him, but he's a winner!"

Hell, he might even get a raise.....remember -

A contract extension for Alabama coach Mike DuBose was approved on Tuesday after his most successful and chaotic season at the helm. The university trustees' Compensation Committee approved University president Andrew Sorensen's recommendation to extend DuBose's contract for a reported two years. The deal has not been finalized because DuBose is in Miami preparing for the Orange Bowl. DuBose's extension restores the two years that were taken away in August as punishment for lying about an extramarital affair with his secretary.

....seems business as usual in the $EC.

Just win baby! That's why the Paul Johnson's have a place in college football.

Of course if your lucky, like Alabama is now, you can have both a winner and a person of stellar moral charachter.

In the words of Mel Reynolds, a Chicago congressman caught having phone sex with a 16 year old girl, "Cain't a brother have a love life?"

Nice.

He'll probably keep his job since he has turned Arkansas into a pretty strong football program. That trumps everything else.

If the Jetgate story hadn't broken, he might be our coach right now.

Petrino is gone...
